How has Canberraโ€™s landscape changed over time? What did it look like before it was a city?ย  ย

In this immersive program, children compare the past and present by exploring Mugga Mugga Cottage, its rural setting and the life of the Curley family who lived here from 1913. Students will take a Cottage tour to see the domestic collection that belonged to the family, take part in a hands-on study of native and introduced plants and complete an interpretive collage.ย Inspired by the making-do approach of the Curley family who repaired, re-used and upcycled their belongings, students will contrast evidence of the Curley era with the contemporary landscape and lifestyle, deepening their learning in HASS Geography, History and Sustainability.
