Lanyon Homestead is Canberra’s most prestigious heritage site. Nestled in the Lanyon Valley in Canberra’s south, Lanyon Homestead is situated along the Murrumbidgee River. The Historic Precinct dates from the 1830s and offers tranquil surrounds for any style of function. This scenic and peaceful setting is located less than 15 minutes from Tuggeranong, and only 30 minutes from the City Centre.

At Lanyon Homestead we offer areas of the garden and outbuildings for private use, corporate functions, conferences, training workshops and other events.   

The Education Centre

A comfortable private room that has been fitted out for meetings, conferences and workshops. Unattached from the homestead, groups are assured of complete privacy.

Lanyon Heritage Centre

Originally the Nolan Gallery, this building offers the perfect location for small meetings and workshops. It is located approximately 400 metres from the main homestead complex. 

The Murrumbidgee Room

Located in the Machinery shed, this recently furbished room is perfect for small workshops, conferences and meetings.

Barracks Espresso Bar and Eating House 

Originally the single men’s barracks at the Homestead, this building is full of old world charm and has glorious views to the Murrumbidgee River. Maximum capacity 40 guests.

Barracks Espresso Bar and Eating House Marquee

A permanent fixed marquee looking over the Murrumbidgee River. The marquee can seat 118 guests comfortably. Add on marquees are available, as too are outdoor gas heaters.
