Welcome back inside. Following our conservation works, Lanyon Homestead will reopen for booked tours from Sunday 30 July 2023.

To celebrate the reopening, visit for free on Saturday 29 July from 1.00pm – 4.00pm.

You will also be able to view the inaugural ACT Historic Places Art prize Exhibition which is opening on 29 July.

In the meantime free guided tours of the precinct will continue to be held up until Friday 28 July - book here. 

The precinct has remained open with tours of the heritage precinct including our outbuildings and gardens while the homestead has been closed for important conservation work.

Lanyon Homestead is over 160 years old. The recent works have been important to ensure the ongoing conservation of the building. We thank everyone for their patience and continuing to support us through this time.
