At the Garden Gate

The entrance to Mugga-Mugga is off Narrabundah Lane. Once you are through the gate, follow the dirt road around to the parking area, which is adjacent to the Education Centre. Cars will need to park inside the enclosed parking area. Buses can drop students off before the cattle grid entrance to the parking area. Please note that there is no pedestrian access across the cattle grid. Pedestrian access is via the adjacent gate only.

A delightful program that focuses on the history and landscape of Mugga-Mugga. Tour the cottage to see how the Curleys “made do” and explore the garden and paddocks to discover the native plants, exotic trees and flowers that grow on the site. Collect plant samples and create your own collage using natural materials and papers.

Why not make it a day and visit both Calthorpes’ House and Mugga-Mugga Cottage. A visit to both properties will illustrate the differences in the daily lives of two families, one which enjoyed the luxuries of all the ‘mod cons’ and one which still lived a simple, rural life.
