Weddings at Lanyon

"...we couldn't have dreamed up a better location."

With heritage listed buildings, stunning gardens and expansive hill and river views, Lanyon Homestead offers a unique location for your special day.

Nestled in the Lanyon Valley in Canberra’s south, Lanyon Homestead is situated along the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. The Historic Precinct dates from the 1830s and offers tranquil surroundings for any style of wedding, from authentic country wedding to contemporary garden ceremony.

Alongside the 1850s Homestead, the property boasts original outbuildings such as the convict built kitchen and the rustic machinery shed, providing endless photo opportunities to ensure unique memories of your special day are captured for years to come.

A number of picturesque garden settings are available for wedding ceremonies and receptions, including a wet weather option. We are happy to discuss which setting best suits your dream wedding, and are passionate about finding the best option for you to craft your perfect day.
