Step into a centuries‑old craft at Lanyon Homestead and learn how to make your own 100% natural beeswax candle using the traditional method of hand‑dipping. Guided through this slow, rhythmic process, participants will discover how candles were once made for everyday use long before electricity.

This hands‑on workshop is suitable for ages 10+ and bookings are essential. Each participant will leave with a beautifully crafted, one‑of‑a‑kind candle — a fragrant and practical keepsake from their visit to historic Lanyon Homestead.

This activity will take place in the historic courtyard. In the event of poor weather, it will move indoors and proceed as planned.

Warm up at the Lanyon Cafe before this workshop with a delicious bowl of hearty pumpkin soup! Served with a crusty roll and butter with self-serve toppings including herbs from the Lanyon garden, sour cream and cheese.
