SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM: Sculpt with bits from the farm Shed

Tinker, mix and mash up using old bolts, metal bits and cocky’s cotton in the Machinery Shed.

Then venture beyond the Shed on a self-guided nature walk; sight the windmill in the distance and take a close up peek into the creek, stone barn and nearby dam.

Artists Suzie Bleach and Andy Townsend will guide children from 6 to 9 years and their carers to create a sculpture inspired by the rural setting.

Kids tinkered at Lanyon’s Machinery Shed on Sunday – sculpting creatures and machines inspired by their rural heritage surrounds.

Artists Suzie Bleach and Andy Townsend guided kids and their carers as they used tools and techniques to attach, support and suspend a range of materials including metal, wire, twine and hundreds of cable ties to realise their imaginations into creative form!

Materials gratefully donated by The Green Shed.
