You are cordially invited to Lanyon Homestead this winter to enjoy the sublime voices of the National Opera from the authentic, Victorian drawing room.
Guests will be seated in the ornate drawing room, surrounded by authentic Victorian furniture, arts and crafts. The experience will begin with a short introduction to the homestead, followed by a 30-minute performance from the National Opera, performing repertoire from the 18th and 19th Centuries.
After the performance, the old-fashioned hospitality continues with either brunch or lunch at the Homestead Cafe and Restaurant. This is an exclusive, and rare opportunity to be immersed in the music and architecture of the past, tickets are strictly limited, book now to avoid disappointment.
The 11am session will include a brunch of one of the following 3 options:
ALMOND & VEGGIE BREAD | gf, dfa, v | house-made almond and veggie bread, smashed avo, tomato salsa, crumbled fetta, poached eggs, balsamic glaze
WATTLESEED FRENCH TOAST | brioche soaked in wattleseed custard, grilled banana, bacon, maple syrup, pistachio crumb
EGGS BENEDICT | english muffin, your choice of smoked ham or herb stuffed mushroom, baby spinach, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce
The 1pm session will include of lunch of hearty pumpkin soup with chives, sour cream and cheese toppings available with crusty roll and butter. There will also be two desserts, served alternatively:
SYLVIA CURLEY’S DARK CAKE | v | historic fruit cake recipe from 1918, served with vanilla ice cream, berries
APPLE AND RHUBARB CRUMBLE | v | house-made crumble, vanilla ice cream
Please note: This experience will take place in an authentic, heritage listed building. Please dress warmly, heating in the heritage building is limited. Please also refrain from wearing high-heel/stiletto shoes which can damage the original flooring.
