Step back into the 1800s and discover what daily life was really like on a remote colonial farm. At Lanyon Homestead, children can roll up their sleeves, don a convict uniform and take on the essential household chores of the past — from butter churning and water carrying to mending and making do.
Once the tasks are complete, participants will be rewarded with a guided tour of the homestead, offering a fascinating glimpse into how wealthier families lived in stark contrast to their workers.
This immersive morning experience is suitable for children aged 6+. Adults must supervise, but do not need to book a ticket. If the weather turns, activities will move into the marquee so the experience can continue rain or shine.
