General admission for the homestead, Ice cream on the Apricot Lawn. Bookings recommended for The Barracks Espresso Bar and Eating House, for reservations phone 6237 5268.
Celebrate Australia Day at Lanyon. Cool down in the stunning gardens; bring your picnic and rug and relax on the lawns, or enjoy lunch at The Barracks Espresso Bar and Eating House. Experience times gone by with a tour of the homestead and join a special walking tour of the gardens and outbuildings.
Musicians, led by Dr Jennifer Gall, will recreate the musical sounds of a living homestead. Hear how the verandah is animated by the kind of music that would have been heard there in the early days of settlement on the Monaro: songs from the Old Country and from the bush representing the workers on the property.
Join a walking tour of the outbuildings and gardens and discover the stories hidden within them. Venture into the homestead to discover the way of life for the pioneers who established and developed the property.
$7 adults, $5 concession, $15 family. Limited places available, buy your ticket from the homestead on the day.
